I’ve been taking advantage of my Netflix subscription lately and try to watch at least a documentary a day. I’ve increased the amount of time I study Chinese as well because otherwise, what’s the point of paying for classes? I am also pretty busy with the consultancy, and right now I am conducting stakeholder consultations. Many stakeholders prefer I send the questions to give their team the time to prepare answers rather than meet up and I guess it’s better in a way. Covid-19 has certainly changed the way people work and want to work which is great. The relationship between many stakeholders seem to be strained as well. They bad-mouth each other to me. In the past, my previous boss did a great job in keeping stakeholders happy and cooperative. They liked meeting up and he made sure they were taken care of.
My family and I have been meeting up since my big sister and family are here on vacation. My mother’s friend visiting from Singapore has left and took us all for a farewell dinner at Bravo. Most of us took her out and I guess she wanted to thank us all. From my side, we took her to Boardwalk, Maria’s Rock Cafe, Beach Shak and a farewell last drink at Seybar. As a family we went to Chez Batista (they have wonderful options, even for vegetarians and vegans) and for this big bill, my sister-in-law and brother footed the bill. Needless to say, I’ve been drinking a lot more thanks to all the gatherings but I rarely drink at home… in the past, I did and almost became addicted to a 2 beers a day thing.
I’ve not been doing great with my diet, oscillating between 59Kgs-62Kgs. I’ve stopped eating crackers and limit any junk food but thanks to all the gatherings, I’ve not managed to stay away from snacking and of course- drinking beer.
